Red Tape, Red Tape Gal, and Oaktrak are the labels they advertise their goods. The business also operates in the Tannery Division and Shoe Division.
Our geographic reach extends across five continents and 28 nations. We are one of the few Indian shoe companies that sell under our brand name on the worldwide market. The REDTAPE brand has established a solid presence, particularly in the US and UK specialized markets.
After making a name for ourselves in the trendiest and most lucrative global markets, we rapidly grow our footprint in India. We are continually expanding our domestic reach thanks to our omnichannel retail strategy, which places a significant emphasis on digital infrastructure, and providing customers with a seamless in-store and online brand experience.
Along with our keen design sense, our skill in product creation has also motivated us to enter the domestic and international clothing and accessory sectors.
We sincerely believe that acting properly has contributed to our progress. We have incorporated environmentally friendly practices into our daily operations to cut waste, make the best use of resources, and lessen our negative influence on the environment.
JOURNEY
We began with a small tannery but were motivated by a vast ambition. Thus we gradually expanded our business to become India’s top maker and exporter of leather shoes.
Genesis and the Early Years
The illustrious journey started when a modest tannery for the production of finished leather was established in Magarwara, close to Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. The earliest years were devoted to providing premium leather and leather goods to foreign markets. Additionally, the size of operations increased rapidly with an unwavering devotion to quality and customer satisfaction, making NSE mirzaint (MIRZA INTERNATIONAL PRIVATE LIMITED) the biggest exporter of finished leather from India.
INTEGRATED OPERATIONS
Our tannery provides us with the raw materials, our design studios produce the designs, our leather shoes are made on-site, and our brands are distributed throughout India by a network of company-owned stores. Additionally, our brands are sold in independent retailers and on several internet marketplaces. Thanks to the integrated setup, we can reduce the time it takes from concept to market, guarantee product quality, provide a better experience, and keep up with our changing customer base.
MANUFACTURING EXCELLENCE
Our footwear divisions receive consistent high-quality leather from our tannery, one of India’s most extensive facilities. The tannery’s modern procedures and equipment promote high productivity, reduce costs, save energy and water, and minimize adverse environmental effects. Our in-house research and development center, together with the knowledge of our leather technologists, makes it possible to produce specialized products for specialized markets like the automotive and home décor industries.
Production of leather footwear is done at integrated manufacturing facilities owned by the company. Six manufacturing facilities that are outfitted with cutting-edge equipment exist with us. These are spread throughout Uttar Pradesh’s Unnao, Noida, and Greater Noida. More than 25 specialized ancillary units assist the industrial plants. At our facilities, highly skilled footwear technicians are employed. They are involved in product development, from material selection to design to manufacture. Our reliable setup guarantees prompt delivery of finished goods and smooth and uninterrupted operations.
In addition to the above manufacturing capabilities, we also contract with other vendors who only produce for us to produce footwear and clothing.
SUPPLY CHAIN AGILITY
A crucial distinction that enables our brands and products to be at the right location at the right time is our quick and efficient supply chain.
A massive network of white-label exports and own-brand sales necessitates a highly effective supply chain. Speed is crucial in our industry to stay up with rapidly evolving trends. Our transformation from design to market takes just 25 days. Thanks to our supply chain agility, we can respond swiftly to trends, stay in touch with our customers and merchants, and guarantee product availability. Our company’s ability to match consumer demand also aids in preventing inventory accumulation, resulting in leaner operations.
We have a direct e-commerce division in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India. And also, We are the first business in the nation to establish such a system. Also, We have constructed two warehouses to accommodate the increased preference for online shopping. These facilities, strategically positioned in the well-connected cities of Mumbai and Bengaluru, support product movement, quick delivery, and customer-centricity.
OUR PHILOSOPHY
As pioneers in the Indian leather industry, we must also set the standard for environmental protection. To decrease our environmental impact and leave a lovely planet for future generations, we constantly work to integrate the best sustainable practices into every aspect of our business.
However, we are very aware of the need to give back more to our communities as we expand our business. Every year, we invest a portion of our profits to help disadvantaged and economically underdeveloped communities.
We have been conducting our charitable endeavors under the auspices of the NSE mirzaint (Mirza Foundation), a group established thanks to the inspiration of Mr. Irshad Mirza, our founder, and recipient of the Padma Shri award.
CARING FOR THE ENVIRONMENT
Reduce. Reuse. Recycle.
With our strategy for waste reduction, we are
Our contribution to ensuring a greener world.
The Leather Working Group (LWG), a multi-stakeholder organization devoted to advancing sustainable and ethical environmental business practices within the worldwide leather industry, awarded our tannery the gold certification. We are pleased with this accomplishment.
Members of the LWG include companies that make consumer goods, retailers, leather producers, chemical suppliers, and technical specialists. The widespread support for our tannery highlights our proactive attempts to match our business practices with environmental concerns.
One of India’s largest and most advanced tanneries is ours. Compared to standard drums, the high-quality tanning drums utilize 1/4 the energy and 10 times less water. The cutting-edge technology and modern equipment used at the tannery ensure zero oil emission and leakage, reduced chemical releases and other waste, and saved water and energy.
Gold rating for our Tannery
The cutting-edge effluent treatment plant at our tannery has a 1.65 MLD capacity. A well-run effluent collecting and processing system guarantees 100% recovery of chromium, an effluent that poses serious health risks if released into the environment untreated. By processing the exhaust chrome liquor and selling the recovered sludge to authorized chemical vendors, groundwater contamination is avoided. Chrome and other solid waste are disposed of in a way that is together efficient and safe for the environment, while wastewater is cleaned before it is discharged.
SUPPORTING COMMUNITIES
By assisting local communities, we try to improve the places where we live and work. Our three key intervention areas are health care, education, and women’s empowerment. We hope to gradually bring about a good change through our relief and welfare contributions for the weakest segments of society.
In the Unnao District of Uttar Pradesh, we have established the multi-specialty NSE mirzaint (Mirza Charitable Hospital Ltd). For low-income residents in the surrounding districts, the hospital offers OPD and IPD services. It is managed by independent medical professionals with expertise in, among other things, orthopedics, ophthalmology, general medicine, physiotherapy, and dentistry. The hospital offers free access to surgical facilities, diagnostic services, Mobile Medicare Units (MMU), 24-hour ambulance service, medicine distribution, and medical consultation.
An annual free eye camp is one of our most essential services. In these eye camps, services such as eye procedures, the provision of medications and eyeglasses, and boarding and housing for patients and their support staff are offered.
